Our 4th of July river trip......

We just returned home from a wonderful family river trip. We spent 8 days out at our river house. It was very relaxing and well needed.

We spend 4th of July at Papa and Grandma (Irma) Petrotta's house. Mom made a great meal & we were able to watch the fire works....

On the 5th we headed out for our vacation. When we arrived at the river house it was 122 degrees. I have to say the air conditioning felt very good. Conner of course wanted to play in the pool, drive the golf cart & go on quad rides. He loves his time out at the river house.

Both kids changed so much while we were away. Conner is talking so much, sentence after sentence ~ I honestly think I need some more energy to keep up with him. Conner is saying his first and last name, his age, and the month that he was born. He has also started to say his ABC's as well as count to 10. Claire on the other hand is such a "girl"... She is just as busy as Conner but in a different way. Claire is eating carrots, squash and sweet potatoes now. All she wants to do is smile. Claire's smiles light up the room. I love it!

Conner and daddy went fishing and caught a big fish... Something like - 2 pounds. I don't know exactly - I was just there to snap the photo....

Claire had her first swim in the river... As you can see she was very excited!

Mommy took a swim with the kids....

Conner did great swimming in the water and playing in the sand....

Conner and his daddy....

On Saturday July 7th our community has a huge 4th of July BBQ - We had a blast!

On July 8th Claire turned 5 months old....

She's got daddy wrapped around her little finger.... ya think?
